Wrist Candy Extravaganza at Beaverbrooks!

Yesterday I went to my local Beaverbrooks store for a bit of a get to know you, which is always fun. I sat down with the lovely Sue and we played with some of the stores hottest designer watches in a most enjoyable try on sesh! 

I was keen to have a good feel for the Michael Kors watches because everyone loves them, and I know quite a few friends who have one, yet I've never actually tried one on! Not one to follow the crowd, I wanted to see what other styles Michael Kors has to offer outside the uber popular, and gorgeous, chunky rose gold chronos.

This is the Michael Kors Tortoiseshell Ladies Watch. I have a soft spot for this one because the tortoiseshell bracelet kinda looks like leopard print. It was beautiful, and I don't normally go for a lot of bling on my wrist but I think I could make an exception for this!

Next up was a similar Michael Kors style but this one had a gorgeous nude tone to the bracelet instead of tortoiseshell, very chic! And yes, I do usually wear my watch over long sleeves wherever possible. I know, it's just how I roll.

The next two were definitely my fave MK's though, smaller Lexington Mini styles with vibrant jewel colour faces! This pink on yellow gold was too cute, but the sapphire on rose gold just blew me away. I literally wanted to run away with it on! 

You know that scene in 'Gone In 60 Seconds' where Angelina breaks into the Ferrari warehouse and says 'Hello ladies . . .'? Well that was me taking this pic of the fabulous Marc by Marc Jacobs watches display. Helllllllloooooooooo lay-dahhhhhhhhzzzzzz . . . 

'Hey Jade, which one did you buy?!' I hear you say. Well here it is, the Tag Heuer Aquaracer Rose Gold Diamond Ladies Watch - £3995 . . .  . .SHEEEEAAAAH RIGHT?!! AS IF I could afford that! But isn't it just purty?! None of your crystal bezel lark here, these are real diamonds baby! WHEW!

Overall, fine holiday fun! I don't think we venture into jewellery stores for ourselves enough to be honest, I know that every time I've gone in recently it's been to buy a giftcard or a gift for someone else. I tend to whizz in and whizz out without taking time to have a bit of a drool sesh for myself because I don't want to bother them to get something out of the window if I'm not going to buy. But really, how do you know if you're going to buy unless you try something on and fall in love with it?! 

The staff at Beaverbrooks Warrington were so lovely and helpful though even though I was basically just having a blatent try on, plus we had a good old chat about the most popular styles and new ins so I nabbed some insider info too! Jewellery shopping should be a welcoming and enjoyable experience whether you're buying or just trying something on for size. At the end of the day, a nice watch or a gold necklace is going to last longer than a dress or cardi, yet we happily spend ages scouting those out and trying on, crazy!

Tomorrow I'll show you what I really came home with, not as expensive as the Tag, but a lot sparklier trust me!
