My trip to Pure London! #pure34

Friday 9 August 2013

On Monday I headed to Pure London, a fashion trade show that takes place twice a year at London Olympia. This was my second time at Pure, Jade & I visited in February and we had so much fun, I just had to return!

Louche London
Dorking around in the Louche photobooth!

Unfortunately Jade couldn't make it this time, but I planned to meet up with the awesome Heidi from Heidi Likes. Heidi is one of my favourite fashion bloggers so I was really excited to finally meet her. I love it when you meet someone and they're just how you expected (but a little posher ha ha), we really had the best day ever.

Pure London 34

The exhibition centre is absolutely HUGE. We got lost several times and it felt like we'd run a marathon the next day. There were lots of interesting seminars, catwalk shows and even the chance to have tea with Zandra Rhodes! We actually missed meeting Zandra because we we lost track of time...Whoops. We did, however, get to meet the faces behind some of our favourite brands and discover lots of new ones.

Neon Rose Coats
Neon Rose AW13

I'm so glad we came across Neon Rose, a Manchester-based company who launched earlier this year. Their AW13 collection looks delicious - lots of yummy jackets, sequins, embellishment and pretty frocks! This coat is definitely on my want list.

IKKS UK
IKKS handbag
Mr Gugu and Miss Go AW13

I spotted French brand IKKS a few weeks ago when I was in Paris and I'm really happy they're finally launching here in the UK! They have so many gorgeous accessories and lots of leather and sequinned pieces. Delicious.

The above photo is of the new Mr Gugu and Miss Go pieces! Waaaaah. It was fun to talk with the UK representative of the brand, she's such a cool chick. There are lots of crazy new swimsuits/bodies and cute little skirts too, all in incredible prints.

Derhy
Amazing Derhy two piece.

Ella B. London
Elia B shoes
Elia. B London

We also met a lovely man who worked for Russell & Bromley for years, before deciding to launch his own footwear brand, Elia. B. I'm particularly excited about this brand because they focus on creating high quality, classic footwear that will last years. They don't have a website yet because this will be their first season, but they will be sold in House of Fraser. I can't wait!

Ruby Rocks at Pure London
New Ruby Rocks
Camo print at Ruby Rocks

Confession time: We spent ages hanging out at the Ruby Rocks stall. I was so overwhelmed by all the vibrant prints and new styles. I drooled over countless kimonos, the most amazing parrot dress ever and a lot of camo print. The little dress on the left (middle photo) is even more beautiful in real life and perfect for parties in the AW! The Ruby Rocks team are lovely and the stall was extremely busy, everyone wanted a piece of RR.

Some brands wanted to keep their new collections a secret for now, but it's worth mentioning that Brakeburn, Lavish Alice, and Goldie have some awesome pieces for AW13 and SS14. Wowza.

Huge thanks to Good Results PR for inviting me and for looking after us! We were given some amazing samples, a lovely lunch and free nibbles. I even got style spotted by a magazine. What a day. Stay tuned for some outfit posts featuring all my new bits and pieces!

T - See you next year. XoX
