Oh Barbados, I miss you! I love the feeling of sand beneath my toes and wish I could afford a holiday home somewhere sunny. These snaps were taken on Dover beach where the sand is gorgeous and the water is even better.
We spent a lot of time turtle watching from our balcony at the Ocean Two hotel, those little guys love to swim really close to the shore. Too. Freaking. Cute. This dress has become my favourite dress ever. Believe it or not it's from Red Herring at Debenhams! I spotted it in my local store a few months back but they only had size 14's. I dashed home, found a discount code and had to order the size up because everything else had sold out.
I'm not sure if you can tell from these photos but it features delicate beading and the most beautiful lace ever. It reminds me of something you'd pick up in Anthropologie or Free People. For £30 something (in the sale) it was one of my best fashion finds of the year so far. I paired it with this sweet turquoise bracelet I bought from a market stall in Barbados.

DeleteThat dress from Red Herring at Debenhams is gorgeous. I love the embroidered flowers, tiered sheer layer and lace overlaid hem. It looks wonderfully light, comfortable and elegant. The beach and the water look so extremely inviting that had I been there I would have wanted to take the dress off, fold it away neatly in a protective bag on a beach towel and go for a swim and wear the dress out in the evening.
