Hanging out with Fearne Cotton, as you do.

As mentioned in a previous post, this afternoon I was invited to 'Hangout' with the super stylish Fearne Cotton...EEEEEK! I was a little nervous but had no reason to be because she's such a cool chick. My love for her has now officially developed into a full blown girl crush.

Fearne's latest Winter collection at Very.co.uk consists of bold prints, statement dresses & lots of flattering shapes. With so much variation it really does have something to suit everyone.

Metallic Shift Dress (£49)

I wanted to ask Fearne a whole bunch of questions but I decided to go for the most obvious choice; "Who is your celebrity style icon!?". As it's such a tough question she mentioned several different people including the beautiful Chloë Sevigny, 70's pop icon Debbie Harry and even Led Zeppelin!

When we were asked what our favourite piece from the collection is, I instantly confessed my love for the Texture Faux Fur Coat (£89), which Fearne also loves. She admitted she's grateful for the sunny weather at the moment but I can tell she can't wait to wear it in Winter (like me).

One thing that really surprised me is how involved Fearne is in the collection. I just assumed celebrities with clothing lines had 'people' who designed/planned everything and they just gave the final say...That is so far from the truth! Fearne sketches her designs and the Very team keep to them as closely as possible when making the final garments. She even told us she goes hunting for vintage prints/fabrics herself, she's so hands on.

I get the impression Fearne works very hard but I'm sure it's all worth it when each collection is complete. She said she loves seeing her designs on normal girls - that must be the best feeling ever! Oh & she does swapsies with Hollie Willoughby, how cute is that?
