Black Orchid Jeans - mmmmm....

Sunday 11 July 2010

I literally had to jump back and check myself when I spied the latest collection of Black Orchid jeans, my mouth is probably still wide open because this line is truly hot, with styles and fits that call to my inner sex goddess (and by 'inner sex goddess', read 'inner potential Russell Brand stealer' - yes, the cut of these jeans are THAT good, they may just be enough to jumpstart his ladyeye again and drag it away from the gorgeous Ms Perry!). I hope that description illustrated for you how sexy these jeans are ;)

Black Orchid is the creation of Julien Jarmoune, who has taken his majorly extensive knowledge and fresh ideas of denim fits and details and applied them to a line that appeals to everyone whilst still maintaining allure and exclusivity. Black Orchid has been picked up and rocked by such hot celebs as our fave Jessica Alba, 90210's AnnaLynne McCord, the Fergilicious Fergie, our L.A.M.B. lover Gwen Stefani, gorgeous Katherine Heigl and the vampy Dakota Fanning , Kristin Stewart, Anna Kendrick and Nikki Reed to name but a few! The new collection is made up of skinny fits and jeggings with details like zippers, buckles and lace ups (and later towards winter - cargo pockets!) to fox them, and us, up.

The staple Black Jewel Jegging is a high stretch style that comes in an AMAZING EIGHT finish options! Five blue denim shades - Glaze, Thunder, Tornado, Newton and Midnight. Then Mist which is a stormy grey, and Winter Black which is a true deep dyed black, add to that Equinox, which is a coated black shine effect and you have a style for any look!

This is Midnight, Mist and Equinox (Equinox rocks hard), I just LOVE the studded pocket feature that is on ALL the styles too!

Next is the Black Jewel Skinny Leg , a slightly looser leg cut than the jeggings for those who prefer a traditional skinny as opposed to spray ons! They come in SEVEN cool finishes; two blue denim looks in Storm and Lightening, two greys in Smoke and Oxygen, and 3 GORGEOUS high shine coatings in Walnut, Velvet and Steel, which are shown below. I LOVE the Velvet colour (centre)!

So as if these jeans aren't sweet enough, then Black Orchid add super hot leg and ankle details to make them even more ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

For a cool everyday look, go for the side pleat style jeggings (complete with new faded black colour, Thunder Black), colour shown below is Newton, which is my fave :)

When Zipper ankles are added to both the jeggings and skinny styles, they instantly add a bit more ooooh to them! Check out the jeggings, yummy.

Black Orchid then give the zipper skinnies a bondage twist and add buckles, I think these are casually cool and I pretty much need them in my life! Colour shown is Twilight (of course!), which is new to the range, as is Fog, a pale distressed gray.

Then they go one better, and add a lace up detail to the zipper, and I die! Could this style get any more vintage rock and roll? Think KStew and Dakota in The Runaways!

Finally, if you're feeling really Apollonia Kotero in Purple Rain, you could opt for the ultimate in sexy chick trousers, the Black Jewel Skinnys come in the Equinox high shine colourway in both a full side leg lace up, AND a full side leg zip up! THUD.

How foxy seriously? I'm thinking a simple and slouchy off the shoulder tee a la Hellz Bellz or Wildfox and ankle booties, because jeans like these can work it by themselves.

I love how the range is so versatile, going from wardrobe staples to a high shine leather look, rockstar girlfriend material without even changing your label, or even the other pieces you can wear them with. Stand alone denim, hot.

If you too like what you see here, you can buy Black Orchid jeans here in UK at Bunnyhug and Spoiled Brat with prices starting at £99 for jeggings at Bunnyhug (who also stock this seasons summer shorts). Alternatively, they can also be found at our fave US online boutiques, Black Label Boutique (who are taking pre-orders for the new cargo skinnies!) and Singer22. Both of these stores also have limited sale stock with prices starting at just $43...I know, living in UK is so unfair!
